Punjab family duped with fake cancer drug under guise of discount
A Punjab family was duped with fake vials of Keytruda, an immunotherapy drug, for a 56-year-old liver cancer patient. Bought from a local store, the vials were counterfeit and contained antifungal medication. Though priced at ₹1.5 lakh per 100-mg vial, they paid ₹16 lakh for 12. Empty vials and packing material were allegedly diverted from hospitals, The Indian Express found.
