Punjab forms panel to coordinate with Akal Takht on anti-sacrilege law

The Punjab government constituted a seven-member panel to coordinate and hold discussions with the Akal Takht committee over the anti-sacrilege law. The Akal Takht has raised several objections to the Jaagat Jot Sri Guru Granth Sahib Satkar (Amendment) Act, 2026 and gave the government one month to amend it on June 29. Sikh MLAs had agreed to revise the law.
