Punjab govt unearths ₹200 crore tax evasion in hospitality sector

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema said that a tax evasion racket worth ₹200 crore has been detected in the state's hospitality sector. “With the inclusion of data for the financial years 2023-24 and 2024-25, the total magnitude of evasion is likely to reach approximately ₹500 crore,” he added.
