Punjab man builds ₹2 cr vermicompost biz with ₹20,000 investment

In 2016, Dharminder Laddi quit his ₹35,000-a-month job with a construction company to start vermicomposting. He invested ₹20,000 to make two compost beds and distributed the product for free to create a market. Today, he has built an organic fertiliser business with an annual turnover of ₹2 crore, and 50% profit margin. He trains farmers for free.
