Punjab Police use water cannons on staff protesting against AAP over pending DA

Punjab Police on Friday deployed water cannons to disperse state government employees marching towards the Assembly in Chandigarh to protest against AAP government. Representing over 50 departments, thousands of workers demanded release of 18% pending Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears. The protests blocked key roads towards Assembly as unions pressured government to honour their long-pending dues.
