Punjab Sikh MLAs appear before Akal Takht to clarify on anti-sacrilege law

Punjab Sikh MLAs of various parties, including the ruling AAP, Congress and Shiromani Akali Dal, appeared before the Akal Takht on Monday to explain their stand on the anti-sacrilege law passed by the Punjab Assembly. This comes after Akal Takht summoned them for allegedly passing the law without obtaining their consent. The Punjab Assembly currently has 89 Sikh MLAs.
