Punjab student issued fake Canadian college letter by consultancy, wins ₹12 lakh

The Chandigarh consumer commission ordered a visa consultancy firm to refund ₹12.35 lakh to a Punjab student for failing to secure her promised Canadian study visa and admission. The firm issued her an acceptance letter from a Canadian college in 2022. However, when she independently verified its authenticity, the college said it had no admission record in her name.
