Punjab wants Amritpal Singh jailed in Assam beyond NSA limit

The Punjab and Haryana High Court on Thursday agreed to take up for hearing a fresh plea by the Punjab government seeking permission to arrest Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh in Assam and continue his custody in Dibrugarh jail even as his detention under the National Security Act is set to end. It will end on April 23.
