India's largest private sector lender HDFC Bank's MD and CEO Aditya Puri has emerged as the highest-paid banker in India in 2019-20, with a total remuneration of nearly ₹19 crore. He also exercised stock options worth ₹161 crore during the year. In comparison, India's largest lender SBI's Chairman Rajnish Kumar earned ₹31.2 lakh in 2019-20.
