Put Marathi signboards on shops or face 'Shiv Sena-style' response: Mumbai Dy Mayor

Mumbai Deputy Mayor Sanjay Ghadi warned shops, five-star hotels and other establishments to display prominent signboards in Marathi within a month or face a “Shiv Sena-style” response. He said Mumbai has around nine lakh shops and establishments, of which 5,020 have still not complied with the rule. Ghadi said Marathi signboards in Devanagari script are mandatory under Supreme Court directives.
