Putin ally Ramzan wins Chechnya election with nearly 100% vote

Russian President Vladimir Putin's close ally Ramzan Kadyrov has been re-elected for a fifth term as leader of Chechnya, securing 99.85% of the vote, Russia's Central Electoral Commission said on Monday. The figure is slightly higher than his 99.73% vote share in 2021. Russia concluded elections for its national parliament on Sunday.
