Putin given 21-gun salute as he arrives in Vietnam to boost ties

Russian President Vladimir Putin was given a 21-gun salute during a military ceremony upon his arrival in Vietnam to boost ties on Thursday. Vietnamese President To Lam congratulated Putin on his re-election and praised Russia's "domestic political stability". Vietnam is the fifth country visited by Putin after he was sworn in for fifth term.
