Puts kids in greater danger: Telegram CEO on UK's social media ban

Telegram CEO Pavel Durov compared UK government's announced social media ban for under-16s to the Russian government's restriction on the use of Telegram. "Banning…only puts them [teenagers] in greater danger. Teens are forced to switch to VPNs…and unlock far worse illegal content," Durov said. "Is this [UK's ban] really about protecting children…or identifying more people to arrest?" he added.
