PwC fires 1,800 employees in first formal job cuts since 2009

PricewaterhouseCoopers's (PwC) US unit is laying off about 1,800 workers in its first formal layoffs since 2009, WSJ reported. PwC firm is in the process of reducing its workforce in the US and elsewhere, primarily in its US advisory and products and technology operations. In 2017, PwC offered employees new roles during restructuring and those who declined left the company.
