PWD leaves handpump in the middle, builds road around it in UP

PWD constructed a road in UP’s Mirzapur without removing a handpump, leaving it standing in middle of the road, sparking safety concerns. Since the road leads to the Vindhyachal temple, lakhs of devotees are expected to use it during Navratri. Contractor didn't remove the handpump to cut costs, said locals. The handpump was later removed after its video went viral.
