Pyka's self-flying crop-spraying electric aircraft gets $11 million

American drone startup Pyka raised an $11-million seed funding round to develop its self-driving winged small aircraft, called the Egret. It aims to automate pesticide-spraying on crops. Pyka, the founding team of which comprises ex-employees of firms including Google X, Waymo and Morgan Stanley, claims to be the only global company with a commercially approved large autonomous electric aircraft.
