Qatar, Morocco among 6 Arab federations backing FIFA Prez Infantino

Six Arab football association chiefs, including those from Qatar, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Sudan and Mauritania, backed FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Thursday. Infantino, who is seeking re-election next year, has faced calls to quit from UEFA, the AFC and CONCACAF over his now-abandoned World Cup stake sale plan. Notably, four of the six signatories are also FIFA Council members.
