Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker steps down after 27-year service

Akbar Al Baker is stepping down as the CEO of Qatar Airways after 27 years of service at the state-owned carrier. He told staff in a memo that he would leave on November 5. "It has been an incredible privilege to lead such an exceptional global team & the honour of a lifetime to serve my country," he added.
