Qaumi Insaaf Morcha protesters march to gherao Punjab Lok Bhawan; police disperse them

Chandigarh Police on Saturday used tear gas and water cannons to disperse supporters of the Qaumi Insaaf Morcha who attempted to enter Chandigarh from Yadavindra Public School border forcibly. They had marched to gherao Punjab Lok Bhawan. The protesters are pressing for the release of Sikh prisoners who've been languishing in jails across the country since the 1980s and 1990s.
