QuizUp's maker acquired by game developer Glu Mobile

Glu Mobile, developer of celeb-themed games including those on Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj, has acquired Plain Vanilla and its mobile social trivia game QuizUp. The deal was reportedly valued at $7.5 million (₹50.8 crore), including forgiven debt. Iceland-based Plain Vanilla had raised over $40 million (₹271 crore) in total funding, with Sequoia and Tencent among notable investors.
