Rachin wasn't named after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid, reveals his father

New Zealand all-rounder Rachin Ravindra's father Krishnamurthy has revealed that they had not named their son after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. He added that his wife had suggested the name. "The name sounded good, was easy to spell, and short...It was only some years later...we realised the name was a mix of Rahul and Sachin's names," added Krishnamurthy.
