Raghav Chadha calls for joint ITR filing for couples, jokes 'More people will get married'

AAP MP Raghav Chadha called for introduction of joint ITR filing for married couples, noting how income distribution can change income tax eligibility. Chadha said a couple earning ₹10 lakh each pays nil tax, while a husband earning ₹20 lakh pays ₹1.92-lakh tax despite his wife being a homemaker. "More people will get married to utilise this benefit," he joked.
