Raghav Chadha urges CPCB to intervene as Yamuna pollution rises

Delhi Jal Board Vice-Chairman Raghav Chadha on Tuesday urged the CPCB to take immediate measures as Haryana hasn't stopped discharging industrial pollutants into the Yamuna despite repeated reminders. Ammonia concentration in the river at Wazirabad barrage has increased to 7 ppm against the permissible limit of 0.8 ppm, he said. This is likely to affect the water supply, Chadha added.
