Rahul says CJI removed from panel that selects CEC, BJP responds

Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi asked in Lok Sabha why the CJI was removed from the panel that selects the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and claimed that he, as the LoP, has no voice in the panel. To this, BJP's Amit Malviya responded on X, "That committee (with the CJI) existed only temporarily until a new law was enacted."
