Congress' Rahul Gandhi slammed BJP-led Maharashtra government's decision to appoint five state-nominated members to managing committees of Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union, known as Gokul Dairy. Rahul called the decision a theft of milk producers’ votes and “adulteration in the mandate”. Congress-backed panel had won 13 of 25 seats in union's elections, while Mahayuti got 12.
