Rahul writes to PM, seeks posthumous Bharat Ratna for Kanshi Ram

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote a letter to PM Modi, requesting that BSP Founder and Dalit icon Kanshi Ram be awarded Bharat Ratna posthumously. This comes ahead of UP Assembly elections, with Dalits constituting about 20% of voters. BSP chief Mayawati earlier criticised Rahul, saying Congress didn't declare a single day of national mourning when Kanshi Ram passed away.
