Railways gives ₹60,239 cr passenger subsidy in 2024-25: Vaishnaw

Indian Railways provided a ₹60,239 crore subsidy on passenger tickets in 2024-25, giving an average 43% concession, Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw told Parliament. Additional concessions apply to PwDs, students, and patients. Fares are transparent, published digitally and physically, and consider service cost, affordability, and competition.
