Railways halts all passenger rail services till Apr 14 amid coronavirus lockdown

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of a 21-day lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus, the Indian Railways said that its suspension of all passenger services has been extended till April 14. The railways also ordered the closure of all rail museums, heritage galleries and heritage parks. Officials said freight movement will continue to carry essential commodities.
