Railways increases RAC berths in Sleeper, 3AC, 2AC class

The Railway Ministry on Monday announced an increase in the number of Reservation Against Cancellation (RAC) berths in all trains, effective from January 16, 2017. Currently, there are 5 RAC berths in Sleeper coaches, which have been increased to 7, while the number of RAC berths in 2AC and 3AC has been increased to 3 and 4 respectively.
