Railways orders double-locking of all signalling assets

The Railway Board has ordered a double-locking arrangement for all relay rooms with train controlling mechanisms and relay huts housing signalling and telecommunications equipment, officials said. The board also issued directions to strengthen the protocol for train movement after maintenance work. This comes after the accident involving three trains in Odisha that killed over 280 people.
