Railways plan 18-hour Duronto Express from Bengaluru to Mumbai

Indian Railways is considering a Duronto Express between Bengaluru and Mumbai that could cut travel time to 18 hours. The proposal comes after criticism of a newly approved bi-weekly superfast train taking 24 hours. The Duronto is expected to offer faster travel, onboard meals and dynamic fares, with a 3AC ticket likely to cost around ₹2,500.
