Railways sanctions nearly ₹432 cr to rebuild bridge in West Bengal

Indian Railways has sanctioned a ₹431.76 crore project to rebuild Bridge No. 57 on the busy Howrah-Kharagpur section under South Eastern Railway. The upgrade includes a new viaduct, improved platforms and facilities at Kolaghat station, and a future-ready structure designed to handle higher speeds, heavier loads and the planned fourth rail line to boost safety and capacity.
