Railways to install water filters at 20,000 locations after CAG flags E coli bacteria

Ministry of Railways announced measures to ensure safe drinking water, including the installation of new water filtration systems at around 20,000 locations across the railway network. It'll also replace old water tanks and conduct regular water quality testing at source and outlet points. The move follows CAG findings of E coli bacteria in water cooler samples at eight railway stations.
