Railways told to pay ₹1.45 lakh for passenger’s stolen bag

The Delhi State Consumer Commission has upheld ₹1.45 lakh in compensation for a passenger whose bag was stolen from a reserved Mahananda Express coach in 2014. The stolen belongings were valued at ₹1.20 lakh, with ₹25,000 awarded for mental agony. Interest at 9% per annum also applies.
