The National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC) has proposed that OBCs earning up to ₹15 lakh per annum should be allowed to avail the standard 27% reservation. Earlier, it had suggested to raise this creamy layer ceiling from ₹6 lakh to ₹10.50 lakh. Further, it said that the children of only sitting MPs will be included in the creamy layer.
