Canadian entrepreneur Stewart Butterfield, who helped found Slack Technologies, became a billionaire after the successful IPO of his company. The CEO was raised in a log cabin without electricity and running water for the first few years of his life. The workplace communication company listed on Thursday at a valuation of $23.2 billion, making Butterfield's 8% stake worth $1.8 billion.
