Raj Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray loses his debut election from Mahim

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray's son Amit Thackeray lost his debut elections from the Mahim Assembly constituency in central Mumbai. Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Mahesh Baliram Sawant, who secured over 50,213 votes, defeated Amit Thackeray with a margin of over 17,000 votes. Notably, the voting for Maharashtra Assembly elections took place in a single phase on November 20.
