Raja Rajeswari (43) has become the first India-born woman to be sworn-in as a criminal court judge in the New York City. The Chennai woman took the oath of office in the presence of Mayor at a ceremony on Monday. She had migrated to US as a teenager and till now worked at District Attorney office as the Deputy Chief.
