Rajasthan HC bans sale of junk food in & around 50 metres of all schools

Rajasthan High Court banned carbonated drinks and junk food in and around 50 metres of schools. It directed every school to form a School Food Safety and Nutrition Committee within four weeks, comprising teachers, parents and students. The court asked Rajasthan government to file an affidavit in six weeks detailing steps taken to ensure safe and balanced food in schools.
