Rajasthan declares drought in 80 tehsils across 14 districts

Rajasthan has declared 80 tehsils across 14 districts drought-affected due to deficient rainfall, reduced water availability and damage to kharif crops. Of these, 69 tehsils are severely affected, and 11 are moderately affected. The state received 350.83 mm of rainfall between June 1 and September 30 against a normal of 424.71 mm, a shortfall of 73.88 mm.
