Prez Murmu honours Raj woman for building special chair for disabled kids

Neha Solanki, a woman from Rajasthan, was honoured by President Droupadi Murmu with the National Grassroots Innovation Award 2026 for building an adaptive chair for children with cerebral palsy. She built the chair for her son with cerebral palsy after a school refused to accommodate him. Solanki worked along with physiotherapists for nearly nine months to develop the chair.
