Rajasthan women turn solar engineers to run their families
In Rajasthan's silicosis-hit mining belt, women like Santosh Devi and Champa Devi are becoming solar engineers to keep their families alive. Trained at Barefoot College in Tilonia, they now install solar panels to earn a livelihood while their husbands battle the incurable lung disease caused by years of mining. Their new skills bring light, dignity and hope to struggling villages.
