Rajasthan's Jaisalmer sounds alert for possible locust attack

The Jaisalmer district in Rajasthan has sounded an alert for a possible locust attack after an advisory by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. The administration has asked authorities to plan, coordinate and execute a strategy to repulse. "If any official [is] found negligent or violating order, he will be personally [held] responsible," the District Collector said.
