In a major shuffle of top civil servants, an IAS officer of the 1978 batch Rajiv Mehrishi on Thursday replaced Arvind Mayaram as the secretary, department of economic affairs. Arvind Mayaram has been shunted out of the finance ministry and given a low profile ministry of tourism. He has been made the tourism secretary in place of Parvez Dewan.
