Rajiv Mehrishi takes charge as CAG of India

Former Home Secretary Rajiv Mehrishi on Monday took charge as the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India, succeeding Shashi Kant Sharma who demitted the office on September 22. The 62-year-old (retired) IAS officer will have a tenure of three years as the CAG. Mehrishi had also worked as Economic Affairs Secretary and Chief Secretary of Rajasthan earlier.
