Rajnath Singh chairs defence modernisation meet in Jaisalmer

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh chaired a Consultative Committee meeting on 'Modernisation of Indian Defence Forces' in Jaisalmer. Discussions covered next-gen platforms, AI, autonomous systems, tri-service integration, and indigenisation. Singh noted defence production rose to ₹1.78 lakh crore in FY26, with exports at ₹40,000 crore, targeting ₹3 lakh crore production by 2029.
