Raj's move to announce gig workers' legislation hailed by union

Rajasthan government's announcement to have legislation for gig and platform workers was hailed by the Indian Federation of App-Based Transport workers (IFAT). In the state Budget, Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said he would bring a 'Gig Workers Welfare Act', which would be the first of its kind in the country. "IFAT believes...this is a monumental moment...for gig workers," IFAT stated.
