Ram Chandra Paudel of Nepali Congress elected as Nepal's 3rd Prez

Nepal has elected Ram Chandra Paudel, who hails from the Nepali Congress, as the country's third President. Paudel, a common candidate of an eight-party alliance, received the vote of 214 lawmakers of parliament and 352 provincial assembly members, PTI reported. The term of Bidya Devi Bhandari, who served as Nepal's President for two consecutive terms, will end on March 12.
