Ram Rahim acquitted in murder case: Why will he still be in jail?

The Punjab and Haryana High Court acquitted Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh in the 2002 journalist murder case, overturning a 2019 CBI court conviction. However, he will continue to remain in jail as he is serving a 20-year sentence for raping two of his disciples, handed down in 2017.
