Ramanujan's wrong death date, other mistakes spotted in Maharashtra’s new textbooks

An inaccurate death date of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan is among the multiple mistakes spotted in Maharashtra’s new CBSE-based textbooks. A textbook wrongly refers to India's first girls' school as the 'first girls' school in Maharashtra'. Following the row, the centre that introduced the textbook said the discrepancies have been noted and will be rectified in the next edition.
